Read about how technological advancement led to the emergence of WEB 3.0. What are the new features it serves the users with and how does it stand different from WEB 2.0?

INTRODUCTION:

Everything is replaced with something better! The invention of WEB2.0 This calls for the introduction of “WEB3.0” in the line. When the WEB was introduced for the first time, it created a huge hype in the market and users were crazy to use it.

Sooner with other features and an even higher level of excitement WEB 2.0 jumped into the race and was successful in grabbing users’ curiosity.

Now it’s time for something even better! Let’s unfold the pages of WEB 3.0 with greater elation and enthusiasm.

Before heading further let’s understand what WEB 2.0 & WEB3.0 is?

WHAT IS WEB 2.0 & WEB 3.0?

WEB 2.0:

WEB 2.0 can be considered to be the upgraded version of WEB 1.0. It has bagged many modifications starting from the introduction of various social media platforms to the collection and distribution of data in different formats.

The content was not restricted to a single traditional format. It can be in any composition based on the likings and preferences of the users.

Examples of Web 2.0

  • Hosted services, like Google Maps
  • Video sharing sites, like YouTube
  • Web apps, like Google Docs
  • Social networking, like Facebook

WEB 3.0:

In essence, Web 3.0 can be considered to be the first step in how the web will look in the future. Despite the fact that there is no definitive definition of web 3.0 as of yet, the concept contains a wealth of interesting ideas. As technology evolves and continues to define itself. One thing that seems obvious is that Web 3.0 will make extensive use of blockchain technologies and place a strong emphasis on decentralized applications.

In contrast to other models of web, WEB 3.0 will not be controlled by any authority. Instead, it will belong solely to the users of the internet. Each aspect of web 3.0 can be utilized however the user sees fit. In addition to creating insightful content that can be shared via a variety of platforms, they can also monetize their operations for revenue generation. These users can build their own platforms, develop art, and then freely publish it on the web.

Examples of Web 3.0

  • Decentralized currency, like Bitcoin.
  • NFT marketplace, like OpenSea, CACTUS.
  • Dapps, like Mintbase.
  • DAO’s (Decentralized autonomous organizations)
  • SMART CONTRACTS.
  • Metaverse.

HOW IS WEB 3.0 DIFFERENT FROM WEB 2.0?

One of the biggest differences between Web 3.0 and Web 2.0 is the former’s emphasis on data ownership and privacy, as well as its decentralized structure.

As a result, Web 2.0 companies such as Facebook and Google have amassed a vast amount of user data, which is sold to advertisers. Rather than allowing users to control their own information, Web 3.0 aims to give users back control.

Furthermore, web 3.0 envisions a more decentralized web, with power distributed among many nodes, rather than concentrated in a few hands. This is in contrast to the current centralized structure of the web.

A third major difference between Web 3.0 and Web 2.0 is how we interact with content online. We tend to consume content that others create for us in Web 2.0 (think Facebook News Feed), but in Web 3.0, we will be able to create and exchange value without trusting a third party like a bank or government.

As part of Web 3.0, we will be able to interact with technology in a more natural way, by using our voices and other input methods instead of complex programming languages.

Let’s discuss the main features of Web 3.0:

WHAT ARE THE FEATURES OF WEB 3.0 / WHAT WEB3.0 HAS FOR IT’S USERS:

01) Artificial Intelligence:

In Web 3.0, when artificial intelligence is combined with natural language processing (NLP), computers can understand details like humans to deliver more relevant and faster results. This makes them more responsive to users.

02) Internet of Things:

WEB 3.0 will utilize the Internet of things to its fullest. By connecting various technologies and tools together, the internet of things will help elevate the operations. Web 3.0 will use machines/computers to interpret the data collected from the IoT. This information will then be processed through an A.I. that will provide suggestions on how to improve your workings. This way IOT will help in increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of data research and interpretation.

03) Semantic Web:

Web3 also includes Semantic Web, which enables web technologies to generate, share, and link content through analysis and search in accordance with the intent behind the words regardless of how many or how many keywords are used.

04) 3D Graphics & Spatial web:

Spatial Web is a model of the Internet that has been set up in a three-dimensional space. It enables the connection of virtual reality to the real world. There are billions of devices connected via the internet and they can interact with each other. The spatial web blurs the boundaries between the real world and the digital world and aims to decrease conflict among operations.

For example — E-commerce has eliminated the need for companies to invest in large infrastructures while still being able to run their businesses digitally.

05) Decentralization:

The vision for Web 3.0 is to create a more decentralized web, where power is distributed among many different nodes, rather than concentrated in the hands of a few large tech companies. This would give users back control over their own information, as well as give them the ability to create their own content, rather than primarily consume content that others have created for them.

CONCLUSION:

With the introduction of Web 3.0, users will have more control and transparency over information on the web. The main aim of this system is to prevent any fraud happening and to eliminate any inconvenience caused by the intermediary. The term ‘WEB 3.0’ may be described as a new phase in the development of the Internet.

CALL TO ACTION:

It is impossible to predict the future, but staying vigilant and adapting to the changes definitely helps. Stay tuned for the latest updates on Web 3.0, blockchain technology, crypto news, and more!
